Electrolysis blemish removal (ACP)

What is ACP?

Advanced cosmetic procedure is a safe and effective way to remove unwanted skin blemishes such as warts, skin tags, moles, thread veins and much more. Treatments are quick and offer immediate results, usually leaving little or no residual marks on the skin.

How does it work?

The treatment is administered using electrolysis, a skin-safe advanced cosmetic method . Electrolysis cauterises the blemishes from the skin, which will usually fall off on the same day or within a few days followed by a very quick healing time. Depending on type of blemish, between 1- 3 treatments may be needed. Treatment plan will be discussed during the consultation

Wart removal

There are various types warts including plane, common, filiform, periungual
and verruca’s. All can be easily and successfully treated. Warts can develop individually or in clusters. Seborrhoeic warts become more common with increasing age and can grow up to two inches across.

These warts are usually dark brown in colour with a rough texture. Typically associated with age, they are a thick build up of epidermal cells and can vary in size. Seborrheic warts should be treated sooner rather than later and once removed new skin will develop in area.

Xanthelasma is the production of solid, yellowish deposits
underneath the eyes. Often caused by high cholesterol levels or high blood pressure and can be hereditary. Xanthelasma needs treatment as it doesn’t usually go away on its own and will often either remain the same size or grow over a period of time if left untreated.

These are not broken capillaries but rather permanently dilated capillaries. They have very thin wall which constantly dilate and constrict. As we age, these vessels lose their elasticity and can become permanently dilates.

These are bright red vascular blemishes which lie just under the surface of
the skin. They are dome shaped or slightly raised and are frequently found on midriff, back or front. Most people aged over 30 have at least one and they are even more common in men than women.

A spider naevus is a central dilated blood vessel, with small capillaries
radiating from it like the legs of a spider. They can be found in isolation or gathered in clumps in areas such as cheeks.

These are very common and most frequently found on the neck and face. They often appear with a neck like a mushroom and vary in size from a tiny speck to the size of a pea or larger. They are usually found in areas of friction such as underarm, fold of the skin, under breast or around the neck where necklaces may irritate.

These are tiny hard white lumps containing keratin which lie superficially under the surface of the skin and can be easily have treated with electrolysis. Their exact cause is unknown although they are often associated with dry, dehydrated skin.

Moles are small, coloured skin growths on the skin. While they’re usually harmless, some people opt to remove them for cosmetic reasons. We do require GP consent for mole removal/reduction
